Note that this is Los Angeles so traffic is going to be busy, especially close to the Pauley Pavilion as around the time of popular events the traffic can be busier. Plan accordingly!

Finding convenient parking on UCLA’s campus is easy with a bit of planning. The university maintains multiple parking structures within walking distance of Pauley Pavilion, all well-lit and patrolled during events.

Parking Structure 8 (555 Westwood Plaza)

Located just north of Pauley Pavilion, Parking Structure 8 is the most popular and convenient choice for arena visitors. It offers direct access to Westwood Plaza and a short walk to the venue’s main entrance (near the Coach John Wooden statue). This garage typically opens several hours before events and can fill quickly during basketball games or concerts, so early arrival is recommended.

Parking Lot 36 (11020 Kinross Ave)

This lot sits west of Pauley Pavilion and provides easy pedestrian access to the arena via Charles E. Young Drive. It’s an excellent option for guests staying at the UCLA campus hotels or those arriving from Sunset Boulevard. Lot 36 is often a smart backup choice if the other options are full.

Parking Rates and Payment

Event parking on the UCLA campus isn’t free. The charge will depend on the event type, parking duration, and demand. Typically, you can pay via:

Look out for uniformed event staff and traffic controllers positioned at key intersections like Westwood Plaza and Charles E. Young Drive to guide you to available lots.

Bus Parking

Bus parking is free on campus. Buses can load and unload along Charles E. Young Drive North by entering UCLA Campus from Sunset Blvd. and turning right onto Westwood Plaza. Make a quick right onto Charles E. Young, and the bus parking lane is on the right-hand side for unloading.

Bus parking during the event is in Lot 36 on Kinross just east of Veteran Ave. in Westwood Village.

General directions from the 405 Freeway:

  • To park on the north side of Pauley Pavilion:
    • » Exit Sunset Blvd. and head east.
    • » Turn right onto Westwood Plaza
    • » Continue straight on Westwood Plaza until you hit the entrance to Parking Lot 4 or turn right on Charles E. Young Drive North to enter Lot 7, located on the left.

  • To park on the south side of Pauley Pavilion:
    • » Exit Wilshire Blvd. and head east.
    • » Turn left onto Westwood Blvd.
    • » Proceed north on Westwood, past Charles E. Young Drive South. Lot 8 will be on the left.
